The average soldier deploys dozens of times throughout his career. To help veterans bridge the gap from active duty to civilian life, we created the Linen Closet. The goal is to provide veterans with basic necessities as they reestablish themselves into the civilian sector. It is often during this time that the vet’s needs are most pressing and his resources are most limited.
We provide new and gently used items ranging from clothes to furniture and pots and pans, which any veteran with a valid military ID, DD214 or VA ientification card can take free of charge. Donations of money and gift cards to local grocery or department stores are also needed and are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
We provide these items to soldiers awaiting discharge and veterans and their families free of charge. All items are dispensed based on need. Some items are ongoing and other items are issued one-time only. There are limits per household and all donations are signed for at pick-up.
Please note that all items must be in good condition – either gently used or brand new. All new items should be left in unopened packaging.
